The 2nd Court of Appeals, Fort Worth, Texas hears appeals from district and county courts in a 12-county region in North Texas. These counties are: Archer, Clay, Cooke, Denton, Hood, Jack, Montague, Parker, Tarrant, Wichita, Wise and Young. The court is comprised of seven justices, one of whom is designated as Chief Justice. Since Octover 5, 2017, Bonnie Sudderth has served as Chief Justice of this court.
